Finally!

The End is Near!
The end of our middle school days... that is!
Can you believe that it has been 3 whole years since we first stepped through the doors of Sherwood Middle School? Back then, we were all anxious 6th graders, ready for the "big transition" and confident in our complete maturity, we were "big kids!"
Look at us now, in less than a month we will be promoted into Sherwood High. We've all grown so much, and it really has been an awesome few years. I am truly looking forward to a fun year, with many more joyful memories to come. As Activities Coordinator, I will do my best to make our Freshman year the best it can be for everyone... after all, shoudn't school be FUN FOR EVERYONE? :)
And so, the countdown begins...
Only 4 years and 16 days left until GRADUATION!
Wow, that's a little scary.
Remember, we still have 10 more days left as SMSer's and Laurel Ridger's.. so let's make them the best 10 days we've ever had!

Be sure to check out the school calendars on the right side of this blog to see all of the fun events we have planned for the rest of our middle school career!
Thanks, everybody!

Congratulations!

Congratulations to anyone who ran for Student Council 2011!
It takes a lot of courage and preparation to campaign for a position... and just think of how many people they had to give a speech to! We can be a little intimidating... :)
Great job to EVERYBODY who ran... every speech was amazing, and everyone of you deserved a position. If you didn't win, you still did an amazing job, and just keep trying!
Remember, anyone who ran can still apply for the Officer at Large position nominated by the teachers and new Student Council members.
One last time,
 Thank you, everybody!
Great job!!! :)

Just Another Update...

How was everyone's week?
Well, here at SMS, we just finished our April Raider Challenge. A huge amount of people showed up to participate, play, and watch the Minute-to-Win-It themed games. It was a lot of fun!
Congrats to everyone who qualified with No Late Work/FYI or Referrals!
I here you guys over at Laurel Ridge got Ice Cream at lunchtime.. how FUN! That sounds delicious... :)
Coming up on Monday, some of our election participants will be visiting the Laurel Ridge campus to pass out fliers and information about our campaigns. Look for Jessie B., Tarin, Nicole, and I on Monday morning somewhere in the LRMS building to collect your campaigning fliers!
Also, please leave your comments and suggestions on my "Comments" links at the bottom of every post. Use your student voice and please vote on the few polls located throughout the blog. Thank you!
See you all next week!
PS. Election speeches are coming up on next Wednesday, April 6th, at Sherwood High School in the Commons.
Have a great weekend! :)

Just One More Update...

I recently made some changes to this blog that I wanted to point out...
I no longer have the poll voting, instead at the bottom of each post is a "Comment" link. If you have anything to say, please fill out the form with your input. It is quick, easy, and greatly appreciated! Thanks!
Also, the envelope link below each post is an easy way for you to send this blog link to friends. Just click on the envelope and fill out the form, and Blogger.com will send the post out to whatever email you input.

Please leave your commments and tell me what you think of the blog!!!
Thank you so much!

Quick Reminder!!!

A Message to all SMSer's...
Remember! Tomorrow is a Tan Schedule and our Raider Challenge. Classes are about 41 minutes long with an hour-long activity at the end of the day (Raider Challenge.) You still go to all of your classes... they're just shorter. There should also be movies in the cafeteria and other fun games to play if you qualified for the No Late Work/ FYI's or Referrals. Keep up the good work and HAVE FUN!!! :)
Also, anyone in NJHS has a meeting next Tuesday at 7:30 AM in the Auditorium. Don't be late!

Laurel Ridge students have Ice Cream at lunch-time tomorrow.. Yum! Have fun!

Hope everybody had a fun Spring Break. Aren't you glad to be back in school?
Anyways, talk to you later!

Campaign Update...

Just got all of my posters and flyers up today!!!
I have 4 big, 22" by 28" posterboards up at SMS: one in the cafeteria, activities entrance hallway, and two in the 8th grade wing. I should have one more up at Laurel Ridge by tomorrow morning. I also have about 20 flyers up around SMS, and will soon be passing out smaller notes. The notes have my name, slogan, position, and the address to this blog.
Keep an eye on the visitor counter! It's been shooting up lately! There have been about 100 views by 8th grade students since I sent the link out yesterday.
Voting comes up next Wednesday, April 6th. All 8th grade students in Sherwood will be over in the Sherwood High school Commons to listen to all of our speeches.
Also, good job to anybody that was at today's SMS Honor Roll Assembly, it takes a lot of work and dedication to get a high GPA, and you guys deserve a round of applause!

Good luck to anybody that is running for any positions! Good work!
Thanks again for taking the time to read through and consider me for your 9th grade Activities Coordinator at Sherwood High. THANK YOU!!!
Well, see you soon!

Just 2 Weeks Left!

Election speeches are on April 6th at Sherwood High!
That's less than 3 weeks... 17days!
I'm starting on some of my other campaigning ideas (flyers, posters, etc.) It looks like it's time to really get into writing that speech, now!
Well, it looks like I'll be pretty busy this week.
Anyway, have a fun Spring Break!
